So Much Nothing...

| Apr. 4th, 2009 05:30 pm Donate to the AIDS Outreach Center I'll be reposting this from time to time to remind us all that this charity drive in ongoing and will continue through the year.
If you can give even a little bit please do. If you'd rather give at the show that works as well. Make sure that you tell whoever you give to that it is for the AIDS Outreach Center so we can keep it separate from our normal sales. We will be offering thank you pins ($2 donation) and cell phone charms($3 donation) at the show in exchange for your donations at the show.

| Mar. 29th, 2009 03:53 pm AIDS Walk information If you will be joining us please resond to this post! Thanks!!
When: April 5 Where: Fort Worth Community Arts Center 1300 Gendy Ave. (at Lancaster Ave. across the street from the Amon Carter Museum) Fort Worth, TX.
Registration begins at 1PM and the walk begins at 2:30PM
We will start gathering at this location at 1 pm.
PLEASE be there by 1:30 so that we can go over a few rules for our group. We're also thinking about some shenanigans that you will need to know about should we choose to go through with them. I will need a small group to participate in the shenanigans.
If you're dressing as zombies, be in your costumes and most of your make up before getting there as I don't know if there is anywhere to change clothing at the location. We'll have over an hour before the walk begins so you can do last minute make up touch ups at the site.
Please remember that this is a family friendly event. We need to stay away from the too sexy zombies AND the too gory zombies.
Bring your donations to the site. I will be there to collect and turn them in. We know you will do your best to help us to help the AIDS Outreach Center reach their fundraising goal for the 2009 AIDS Walk. Leave a comment

| Mar. 20th, 2009 01:14 pm AIDS Walk - Bastard Style It's getting closer! Two more weeks before our shamble through the park so I hope you're all collecting those donations that we need for the AIDS Outreach Center. I will post meeting place and time next week. Turns out that everyone that wants to walk can, you don't have to register. Registering gets you a t-shirt and a goodie bag so if you don't care about those items then just come down in your Zombie clothes and just walk with us. Lots of zombies... we want them! The only stipulation that we will put on those who show up is that we expect you to behave. This is a family friendly event so PLEASE keep that in mind as far as behavior and costumes go. If you DON'T register please PLEASE at least bring us some donations. Every little bit helps us to reach our goal! This is such a great opportunity to show that we are not just a bunch of young people who don't care about our community. Collect spare change from everyone you know. It adds up fast, trust me on this. We had a spare change donation jar at All-Con and managed to collect over $200 in change. (OMG it was a pain counting that stuff but I'm not giving up a percent to that silly machine at the grocery store) Remember, our donations site is secure and accepts any amount via credit/debit cards. If you don't want to carry a bunch of change around, put it in your bank and go to the site and donate it. http://www.firstgiving.com/losbastardos THANK YOU!!!!! 1 comment - Leave a comment | |

| Sep. 12th, 2008 03:45 pm Grins and giggles Here is a recent post on one of my favorite blogs... it made me actually laugh out loud when I read it. I don't know if it's because I have kids that used to say stuff like this when they were small or what... but it really got to me.
A Day at the Science MuseumCalifornia Science Center. My 8-year-old and I stand in front of a jar containing a kidney. Him: Is it real? Me: Yes. Him: Is it human? Me: Yes. Him: Is it George Lopez's?
Classic.

| Jul. 2nd, 2008 02:28 pm Mmmmmm! bread!!! My daughter brought me sour dough bread from San Francisco. I am having trouble eating it even though I absolutely LOVE SF sour dough. Why? It is shaped like a turtle! Ok.. It's shaped like a crippled turtle because I ate two of his legs. I said I'm having trouble... NOT finding it impossible. That is all. 2 comments - Leave a comment | |

| Apr. 23rd, 2008 11:20 pm Adventures in Cat Washing... Because we may just be idiots, we washed both of the cats tonight. In the kitchen sink. The one who has been declawed caused more damage than the one who has every claw intact... I was surprised by this.
Mr. Mistofalees did not put up a fight at all, he just sat there glaring at me with his large yellow eyes of "I hate you". I am kinda afraid to go to sleep tonight.
Max... well Max is another story all together. He fought like a cat possessed every step of the process and our ears hurt from his loud complaints. If you ever wondered what caterwauling sounded like, bathe your cat.
Why did we do this? Well, they seem to have a flea problem. We blame Max for this. Mr. M had no fleas, The house had no fleas. Max moved in and I suppose he picked up a few fleas during his experiences in the great outdoors before we found him. As soon as they dry themselves off they will get dusted with kitty friendly powder of flea doom.
I may end up bombing the house if all the steps that we've taken so far do not work. I may board them somewhere for a couple days while the bombing takes place if I can't find a temporary place for them.
I will now go put neosporin on the claw marks left by Max...the declawed cat.
PS. They both look like starving ethiopians when they are soaking wet. Stick legs, bloated bellies, huge heads. Also... Mr. Mistofalees gains about 10 pounds when soaking wet. I think I threw out my back moving him from the sink to the towels... Current Mood: accomplished

| Mar. 27th, 2008 08:28 pm One of these days... One of these days I *will* be able to always remember the lines I'm supposed to know for Dr. Scott. Right now I learn them and they leave my brain the day after and I have to relearn them every time... It's kinda aggravating. Why?? Because I end up having to watch this retarded movie for 2 days before the show. Face it guys... the movie really IS bad.... I will forever be grateful for the invention of the DVD and its ability to skip to the correct scenes. Current Mood: irritated

| Dec. 27th, 2007 11:18 pm um yeah... I was totally going to post a survey thing that I ganked from Star but it was WAY the hell too long and I got tired of answering the questions about a quarter of the way through it. You should all be thankful.
Oh yeah... BTW. I spent last weekend watching Heroes. I'm pretty much addicted now. Luckily, my daughter has season 2 on her computer and I will be moving into her room this weekend to watch that. heehee! Leave a comment

Merry Kringle to all and to all a bad flick.
We'll be having our real Christmas in January after Kyle gets home from London. It didn't seem right to have it while he's off having a good time actually doing stuff. the bastard.

| Dec. 20th, 2007 06:55 pm Yay free money! So... today, at work, the supervisor gave everyone a scratch off lottery ticket for Christmas. There was one winner in the bunch and it was mine. I will cash that puppy in later tonight for $100. I will then proceed to spend that $100 as soon as humanly possible. Oh yeah.
